I'm Phillip Wipf with Rocky Mountain Produce, I have a 10 acre garden that is USDA Organic certified. Elk Creek Colony is home to us, located at the base of the rocky mountain front near Augusta, Mt. We have been growing produce for 12 years now. We started as a conventional operation and sold produce to WMGC. After doing extensive research about organic farming and realizing that there was a better, eco friendlier way to raise food for myself, my family and the wonderful people of Montana, I inquired about becoming a member of the coop. Dave and his crew took us on, which is the best business decision that I've made. So for the last 7 years we have been members after getting our organic certification from USDA. We strive to be stewards of the land by using only OMRI listed products, crop rotations, minimum till, hand weeding and all organic practices, thereby I know what I consume and sell is the healthiest and most nutritious food available. I am proud to say our food is grown with pure rocky mountain water and clean mountain air. Always remember, no matter the question, the answer is healthy soil!
